Simply download the plug-in, configure it and choose the banner you want to use on your WordPress site.

You can also set a particular banner for an article or a page.

Professional and Standard edition

From now on, Banner Effect will be delivered in two editions: Standard and Professional.
The main differences between editions are the following:

• Animated GIF export: only available in Professional edition.
• ClickTag support: only available in Professional edition.
• Text gradient and outline: only available in Professional edition.

• HTML5 banner generation: Added "style='outline: none'" to the generated code to avoid an outline when the banner is displayed.
• FTP: When doing FTP upload, if user entered something like "ftp.hostname.com", the "ftp." part is removed when creating the code template.

• [Mac] Clipboard: Corrected a problem when the clipboard was filled with unknown objects.

We have localized the full website in French.

Corrected a problem when importing old banners: Some effects were not correctly converted, resulting to plain blue banners.

Corrected a problem when previewing empty (templates) images: An error was thrown - now we just ignore empty images.

HTML5 export: It is now possible to display several HTML5 banners on the same HTML page.

Export Wizard: Size computation does not anymore use 100% CPU with big banners.

Background Image Preview: If images of width or height of 1 pixel are used and displayed as stretched, the preview was not correct.

HTML5 export: Corrected a problem when storing banners on banner-effect website and using colored particles.

HTML5 export: Javascript files are more compressed now.

FTP export: Added a default host directory to handle cases where FTP account does not match HTTP account.

We released today the version 1.2.0 of Banner Effect for Windows and Mac OSX.

It is a major release with a lot of new features. Here are the main changes:

HTML5 export

Yes, Banner Effect is now able to generate the same banners in Flash format and in HTML5 (Javascript) format. It means you are now able to generate a banner that will work everywhere (Windows, Mac, Android, iPhones, iPads, ...) in one click.

We had to rewrote completely the player to be able to support both technologies... and there is one bad news: Banner Effect is not able anymore to display the 3D cube in this new version. As HTML5 is not yet as powerful as Flash we had to remove this effect.

We are sorry about that, really, but it was not possible to render the cube effect in an effective way using Javascript and we think HTML5 export is more valuable than 3D cube effect, so we had to cut this feature.

Anyway, the previous version of Banner Effect (1.1.2) with the cube effect is still available from the "Product Updates" section of our website if you really need this effect.

New customizable effects

Effects have been reworked with a lot of new Start/End and Animation effects. Effects are also customizable now, so you can change, for instance, speed, duration, color or amplitude of many effects.

You can also add a shadow or a reflection to every objects on the banner.

Texts effects and Unicode

The text engine of Banner Effect has been completely rewritten. It now supports Unicode fonts, it means you are now able to display texts in Chinese, Russian or Arabic.

You can also set the text as Bold, Italic or Underline.

You can add a gradient or/and an outline to the text to create nice titles.

You don't have anymore to use the "font importer" tool: Banner Effect will directly use the fonts installed on your system.

Background effects

The background tab of Banner Effect has been changed and now allows the following:

• Background Color: To set a background color. You can also create a gradient.
• Background Image: To set a background image. You can now set the position of the image.
• Border: To add a border around the banner.
• Background Effect: Using this feature, you can add a predefined animation effect running in the background.

New Help & German/French translation

Help has been completely rewritten and is now available in English, French and German (thanks to Lokaldo for the German translation).

The user interface is also now available in German.

Reworked export wizard

The export wizard is now more complete and allows to directly copy the banners to any server using FTP protocol or store the finished banners on Banner-Effect's server.

Clickable objects

You can now set any object as "active" and associate an URL, a Javascript call or another slide. This way you can create menus or interactive banners (a clickable text, for example or a button to go to another slide,...).

Mac version overhaul

We have worked a lot on the Mac OSX version to make it more pretty and more integrated to the OSX environment.

This version has been tested and is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and 10.7 (Lion).

Of course, project files are compatible between Mac OS X and Windows.

The Mac version provides exactly the same functionalities as the Windows version and future versions will be released on the same time for every platforms.
